How veg can help improve gut health

We don't often discuss our gut health, with many of us considering it an embarrassing topic - but this week is Love Your Gut Week . So, we thought we'd take a look at the health benefits eating veg can have on gut health.

Fibre-based foods are important for good gut health, and dark leafy greens, such as kale and cavolo nero are both sources of this. Fibre is a key nutrient which can help digestion and prevent constipation, so load up on the green stuff!

But, it's not just dark green veg you should be eating - leeks contain Frucooligosaccharides (FOS) - a type of fibre which can encourage the growth of friendly bacteria in the gut.
